TERMS & CONDITIONS

Thank you again for choosing The Dog Crate Co to design and build your new furniture. We hope you absolutely love your new furniture, and we are happy to help if you have any questions or concerns. Here are a few things you should know about your pup's new home. 

PURCHASE | RETURN | EXCHANGE POLICIES

PAYMENT TERMS

By purchasing you agree to our terms and conditions. All sales completed in the state of North Carolina will be subject to sales tax. Orders are not binding until accepted by both The Dog Crate Co. and Customer. 

Upon acceptance of custom proposal estimate, the total price balance is due. The acceptance sets forth and constitutes the entire agreement and understanding of the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof. This agreement supersedes any and all prior agreements, negotiations, correspondence, undertakings, promises, covenants, arrangements, communications, representations, and warranties, whether oral or written, of any party to this agreement. 

CANCELLATION TERMS

There is a 48-hour grace period, if you choose to cancel your order. The Dog Crate Co. will refund your purchase via your original payment method once payment funds have been verified (5-10 business days). After the 48-hour grace period, purchase is non-refundable.

SHIPPING/FREIGHT TERMS

All remaining balances due must be paid prior to shipment being scheduled. No exceptions.

LEAD TIME 

Lead time will vary based on current work schedule and time of purchase. The time frame per project is an estimate and could change based on circumstances outside of The Dog Crate Co.’s control. No refunds will be granted. We will make every effort to stay within our estimated lead time and notify the customer with any changes to the projected lead-time.

CUSTOM WORK: SCOPE OF SERVICES

Due to the unique handmade character of all The Dog Crate Co. products, no two pieces will be exactly alike. Pieces of the same design may have slight variations based on factors including wood, steel and overall shape. The Dog Crate Co. in no way guarantees each piece to be 100% exact copies of the last. Final dimensions of each piece will be within +/- 0.75” for length, width and height of original agreed upon design. The thickness of the top will be within +/- 0.25” of the agreed upon design.

The Dog Crate Co. offers no guarantees for color matching and our furniture is non-returnable due to color, stain, and matching issues. Because some of our lumber is Second Generation, and with the beauty and artistry of nature, each piece may differ from the last. Each piece will have its own character and history, that could be subjective to each individual. The Dog Crate Co. believes in enhancing what nature has done; any and all of the characteristics are just clues to the history of each piece and not to be viewed as defects or imperfections. The Dog Crate Co. strongly recommends following the guidelines for proper maintenance and cleaning of each piece as listed on the Furniture Care & Maintenance document.

Due to the nature of our custom "made to order" models, and the uniqueness of each piece, all specification pieces are considered final sales. 

WARRANTY TERMS 

We warranty against manufacturing defects within 30 of delivery/pickup and will offer repair or replacement on a case-by-case basis. Many natural characteristics of wood are subjective to each individual and these items are not considered warrantable or returnable. The Dog Crate Co. assumes no responsibility for and does not warranty any issues related to abuse, dog chewing and maintenance of each piece. Upon completion and delivery/pickup of a completed piece, all cleaning and maintenance is the sole responsibility of the purchaser.

Due to the characteristics of solid wood, The Dog Crate Co. cannot guarantee the consistency of each piece. Knots, holes, cracks, grain size, pattern, and other natural characteristics in the wood are not viewed as defects; rather these are seen as character marks reflecting the history of each wood piece. These are not considered warranty-able or returnable. Wood movement is a natural occurrence in all solid wood pieces and cannot be prevented. Wood expands and contracts with climate and seasonal changes. This is also not considered warrantable or returnable. If you are experiencing issues with movement, please contact us for tips on the best way to care for your furniture. We're happy to help!

Our Dog Crates are expressly designed and intended for residential use. Commercial use is strictly prohibited and will void all warranties. No exception.

RETURNS/REUNDS

The Dog Crate Co. will work with you throughout the project to ensure complete satisfaction in the final piece. If for any reason you would like to return an item simply contact us at Return Authorization within seven days of receiving your shipment, Industry standard 40% restocking fee applies.

Returns/Refunds must be requested in writing and approved by The Dog Crate Co. The Dog Crate Co. reserves the right; at its sole discretion on a case by case basis, to grant a refund.

Shipping/handling charges are non-refundable.  We do our best to offer a flexible return policy, but all orders that are not deliverable to you due to the furniture not fitting into your home or if your order is cancelled for any reason after it is shipped, require a $400 return processing fee to be deducted from your order amount. Items must be returned in like-new condition in the original packaging without any signs of wear or damage. Additional fees may apply to items returned in non-original condition and will be deducted from the refund.  Processing of the refund can take up to 30 days. 

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The Dog Crate Co. will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance, due in whole or in part, to anything beyond reasonable control. Including, but not limited to fires, acts of God, or acts of compliance with any law or regulation. In no event shall The Dog Crate Co. be liable to Customer for any (i) special, indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or (ii) any damages resulting from loss of use or profit. Some states do not allow this exclusion or termination of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

RIGHTS TO DESIGN

The Dog Crate Co. retains all creative rights to all products made. The Dog Crate Co. may choose to use any and all photographs of furniture pieces for business and website purposes.
